Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out what personal information we collect from users of the website cyprus-sunset.co.il (the "Site"), operated by Cyprus Sunset, part of Shemer Production ("we" or "the Company"), the purposes of that collection, how the information is used, who we may share it with, and your rights in relation to it.

1. General

1.1 Use of the Site is subject to this privacy policy. Browsing the Site and/or submitting details through it constitutes agreement to its terms.

1.2 This policy is written in the masculine form in the Hebrew original for convenience only and applies equally to all genders.

1.3 This policy applies to use of the Site from any device — computer, mobile phone or tablet.

2. What information we collect

2.1 Information you provide voluntarily: when you complete the contact form on the Site we collect the details you enter — bride/groom name and phone number — along with any further information you choose to share in your enquiry.

2.2 Contact via WhatsApp: clicking the WhatsApp buttons on the Site opens a direct conversation in the WhatsApp application, owned by Meta. That conversation takes place on the WhatsApp platform and is subject to its privacy policy; we do not collect or store message content on the Site servers.

2.3 Basic technical information: the Site hosting provider may automatically collect basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for the operation and security of the Site. Details of marketing cookies and pixels used for advertising appear in section 3 below.

3. Paid advertising, cookies and pixels

3.1 The Site may use advertising tracking tools (pixels) from external advertising platforms, including Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads / Google Analytics (GA4), to measure marketing campaign effectiveness, analyse anonymous browsing patterns and display personalised advertising (remarketing) to users who have visited the Site.

3.2 These tools may store cookies and similar identifiers on your device and collect anonymous technical information, including IP address, browser type and browsing patterns on the Site.

3.3 Information collected through these tools is transferred to the relevant advertising platforms (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC), which are subject to their own privacy policies, and may be used to display tailored advertising for Cyprus Sunset across the internet.

3.4 You can manage or block these marketing cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising via the advertising settings of Google and Meta respectively.

4. Purposes of collection and legal basis

4.1 Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to contact you, understand your wedding requirements and provide tailored information and a quote.

4.2 Information from marketing cookies and pixels (section 3) is used to measure advertising effectiveness and display tailored campaigns.

4.3 The legal basis for processing is your consent (given via the checkbox on the form, and through your browser cookie settings in relation to advertising) together with our legitimate interest in providing effective customer service and measuring our marketing activity.

4.4 The information will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it was collected, including marketing mailings, unless separate and explicit consent is given.

5. Sharing information with third parties

5.1 We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

5.2 Information may be passed to service providers who assist us in operating the Site, and only for that purpose:

• Netlify Inc. — Site hosting and contact form handling.
• WhatsApp / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — for contact by phone or messaging, at your choice.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC — advertising platforms, for displaying targeted campaigns and measuring their effectiveness (see section 3).

5.3 Some of these providers operate on servers located outside Israel. We take reasonable steps to ensure any such transfer is subject to an adequate level of protection for your privacy.

5.4 Information may be disclosed to competent authorities if required by court order or legal provision.

6. Who controls the database

6.1 Cyprus Sunset (part of Shemer Production) is the controller of the database of enquiries received through the Site.

6.2 Providing details through the form is entirely your choice; without them we cannot contact you or offer you a service.

7. Information security

7.1 We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect the personal information provided to us, including limiting the number of people with access to it. However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorised access.

8. Data retention

8.1 Personal information will be retained only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes of collection (handling your enquiry and supporting you up to the wedding, and where we work together, for as long as needed to provide the service), unless longer retention is required by law.

9. Your rights regarding your personal information

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment No. 13, in force from 14 August 2025), you have the following rights:

• The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
• The right to request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
• The right to request deletion of the information, subject to legal limitations.
• The right to know whether there is a legal obligation to provide your details and the consequences of not doing so — for clarity, completing the form on the Site is entirely voluntary.

10. Changes to this policy

10.1 We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Site and takes effect on publication.
